Welcome and News..

Are you ready for the 2023 Marton Country Music Festival?

We will see you on the 13TH, 14TH AND 15TH of January 2023- the 3rd weekend in January as it always has been!

We have a great line up of artists for both the Friday evening and Saturday Evening – So be there for both! Our Friday night showcase is going to rock! Our Saturday night showcase is headlined by Shenanigans and Coopers Run – and has a stellar line up of other guest artists. And don’t miss our “Youth and Invited Artist Showcase”, a fantastic concert held on Saturday afternoon.

You can register now, and please spread the word – bring your friends too! Bookings are open and the downloadable forms are on the registration page. It helps us out if you register in advance, and reduces queues at the gate.

When you book, your ticket includes an entry in the Guitar Raffle – a fantastic guitar hand made by van Der Gaag Musical Instruments. See this link https://www.martonfestival.nz/guitar-gallery/ to see the guitar progress updates! – You can purchase more tickets at the festival for $5 each. Please bring cash!

We have an exciting line up of familiar and ‘new’ artists – you will enjoy the mix! Check out the “Artists” page for details.

The Bands line up has changed a little – we still have the backbone of the Festival the “Hand Picked Band” a group of talented and dedicated musicians, lead by our very own Colin McMillan. This great band we rely on to give our Artists the best possible support throughout the weekend.

We have had a change in the Saturday afternoon/evening backing band – see our “Bands” page for details!

Start crossing your fingers for fine weather – and start packing!

Covid-19 hasn’t left us just yet. At events, its recommended you stay outdoors as much as possible (we have that covered!) wash or sanitise your hands regularly, wipe down surfaces regularly and wear a mask if you want to. Cough or sneeze into your elbow or cover your mouth and nose with tissues. Put tissues in a bin immediately, then wash or sanitise your hands afterwards.

Don’t forget to pack a couple of masks, RAT tests and hand sanitiser. You can pick up free RATs for yourself and household members from Covid-19 testing centres and collection sites including some pharmacies. Find a collection centre near you or order online or by phone:

Your doctor may offer COVID-19 tests. Call them to find out and follow their advice.

Please, if you are sick, stay home. And if you do get sick during the festival, please return to your accommodation, test, seek medical advice and isolate or go home. We truly hope no one gets sick!

Remember to check out the “Marton Country Music Festival” group on Facebook for the latest information.

See you soon!
